YELDO is a fast growing fintech start-up in the real estate investment space. We offer direct access to institutional-grade real estate investments via our digital platform www.yeldo.com

Our mission is to deliver the best online real estate investing experience by bringing access, transparency and simplicity to invest in institutional-grade real estate deals that have been historically available only to the few.

Today we are active in Switzerland and Italy where we have raised 50M€ of investments via our platform for a total gross asset value of 250 M€+. We are backed by European VCs and our leadership team includes the founders of Prima.it (largest italian digital insurance) and senior leaders from BCG, Rocket Internet, Generali, Artisa and DeA Capital.

Role summary

As our Managing Director of Real Estate for the German market you will be responsible for the origination, valuation and execution of YELDO real estate investments in the German market.

This is a key leadership role in YELDO. You will build your origination and transaction team, your valuation team, and support them to ensure the fulfillment of YELDO’s mission: delivering the best institutional-grade real estate investments to our clients.

You will be playing a critical role in the development of YELDO Group as Germany represents one of the largest markets for YELDO, you will join as our first hire in the German market setting up the office, ensuring our EU regulation framework works smoothly and setting our German life in motion.

You will report directly to YELDO's CEO & Founder and potentially extend even beyond Germany as YELDO grows (eg. DACH region).

Profile description

You are the perfect candidate if you have:

  • Full marks degree from top-tier university
  • 10+ years of Real Estate investing experience, you have worked in Real Estate Advisory Team/Asset Management companies, Investment Banks RE desks, Capital Markets of top-tier RE brokerage companies
  • 5+ years of team management experience
  • Proficiency in German, English +1 other European language (nice to have)
  • Team leadership: you enjoy working with people, building effective teams and nurture talents within your organization
  • Ownership: you want to take responsibility for your actions, you are an entrepreneur with your own ideas on how to deliver the best institutional-grade RE deals in Germany
  • Activation: you default to action, you start things and get things done
  • Communication skills: you have excellent written and verbal communication to coordinate a number of stakeholders, interact with key clients and convincing your audience

Main job activities

Hire talents, lead people, organize processes, set strategic milestones, objectives, and deliver on key results to allow the delivery of institutional-grade real estate deals for our clients.

  • Set up YELDO first German office and foster a great working culture with your first hires
  • Establish YELDO Group EU distribution regulatory framework, ensuring YELDO receives required licenses to operate within EU from Germany
  • Develop German origination strategy, in alignment with YELDO group strategy, with the objective to offer the best institutional-grade real estate deals for our clients in Germany
  • Deliver on YELDO yearly origination targets for Germany in terms of capital raised and real estate deal quality
  • Establish relevant partnerships with required stakeholders in the German market
  • Hire and support your Transaction/Investment Managers team for the German market
  • Hire and support your Structuring team for the German market

Location: Germany (city tbd together) as a start-up we love remote working!

Training: a training budget will be available for your personal development both for soft and hard skills development, useful for reaching your objectives and YELDO’s objectives.

Contract: Full-time position with permanent contract
