In the real estate investment sector—where precision and technical expertise are essential—building a solid, dynamic, and inclusive company culture is no small feat. Andrea Baduena, HR Manager at Yeldo, takes on this challenge every day, driving the growth of a young and ambitious organization.

We spoke with him about the role of HR in a rapidly scaling company, the importance of leadership for the new generation of professionals, and the key qualities needed to thrive in a dynamic team like Yeldo's.

What does your role as HR Manager at Yeldo involve, and what are the most stimulating challenges you face day to day?

At Yeldo, I serve as HR Manager and was one of the first to join the Milan team. This gave me the opportunity to closely witness the company’s evolution and actively contribute to its growth—both in terms of people and culture. My role spans the entire employee lifecycle: from talent acquisition to onboarding, career development planning, and compensation strategy.

I’m also involved in more strategic areas such as organizational design, and I collaborate with the finance team on more “technical” aspects. The most exciting challenge is undoubtedly supporting rapid growth while maintaining consistency in our values, relationships, and the startup mindset—even within a highly complex industry.

How do you build and maintain a motivated, cohesive team of young professionals in such a fast-paced environment?

I believe leadership plays a key role in team motivation. One of the most important factors is active involvement: in a fast-moving environment like ours, it’s essential for people to understand the concrete impact of their work.

Building a cohesive team means truly listening, sharing clear goals, and creating both formal and informal moments to strengthen human connections.Today’s young professionals are not just looking for a career—they’re looking for a sense of belonging and purpose. That’s exactly what we work to cultivate every day.

How do you balance the operational speed of a startup with the complexity of the financial sector?

Balancing these two worlds is one of the most fascinating aspects of working at Yeldo. I think our strength lies in the convergence of skills and cultures from both the alternative finance and startup worlds: we combine the discipline and reliability required in finance with the proactivity and fast decision-making typical of a startup.

Our company brings together multiple business souls that operate synchronously, without rigid boundaries. This allows everyone to look beyond their immediate scope and see the bigger picture. In HR, this translates to streamlined but effective processes: few rules, but clear ones—designed to support speed without compromising quality.

What would you say is the added value of working in a team like Yeldo’s compared to more traditional experiences in finance or real estate?

The added value lies in the opportunity to actively help build something. Everyone at Yeldo has a tangible impact on the company’s trajectory. You work closely with the founder, decisions are made quickly, and you grow with the business.

For someone coming from a more traditional background, this kind of environment offers great value: it allows you to apply your skills in a setting where everyone’s contribution truly matters.

What skills and qualities do you think are essential for someone wanting to work in a company like yours? And what advice would you give a young professional looking to join a similar environment?

Today, flexibility, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to adapt quickly are a must. But initiative and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone are just as important.

Technical skills are certainly essential—but it’s your mindset that makes the real difference: proactivity and strong problem-solving capabilities are key.My advice to a young professional would be: learn fast, ask for feedback, build relationships, and never be afraid to ask questions. In a context like ours, those who are eager to contribute and learn will find plenty of room to grow.
