Interview with Michele Lunati: Senior Web Developer at Yeldo
Technology is at the heart of Yeldo, that much is clear. We have already explored the strategic vision behind the use of technology in our business through the interview with our CTO, Carlo Saccone.
Today, we dive deeper into the more technical aspects and the day-to-day applications of our systems in this focus on tool and solution development, guided by the voice of our Senior Web Developer, Michele Lunati.

I joined Yeldo a little more than three years ago. Fintech has always been a constant in my career; before Yeldo, I worked at companies focused on corporate accounting that were beginning to explore the blockchain space, so Yeldo represented a natural continuation of that path.
What convinced me was the company’s strong tech DNA and the startup mindset. That energy, that drive to build things and move fast, is something I’ve always felt aligned with.
I joined as a mid-level developer and grew into a Senior role over time. My responsibilities have evolved significantly: today I’m not only writing code, but handling end-to-end ownership of complex projects, from architectural design to deployment, with full responsibility for business-critical systems.

At the moment, we’re working on several initiatives, especially on strengthening the company’s internal technological infrastructure.
One major project is Yeldo Admin, a suite of products designed to facilitate collaboration and streamline daily workflows across teams. Within this suite, I’m working on the mapping of relationships between contacts and investments, a system that provides a clear, structured view of how clients and prospects connect to each other and to the various investment opportunities.
Then there’s VISTA, an advanced contact-filtering and management system that I developed end-to-end, from design to deployment, project I’m particularly proud of.
Collaboration with other teams is constant. When we develop internal tools like Yeldo Admin, everything starts with the real needs of the people who will use them, whether that’s the sales team, operations, or real estate. I collect feedback, identify pain points, and translate all of that into technical solutions designed to genuinely simplify their work.
Our Product Owner plays a key mediating role in this process.
It’s a continuous dialogue: we don’t build in isolation. We work closely with the various teams to ensure that what we build truly meets the business’s practical needs.

From a technical standpoint, my core stack includes React with TypeScript and Next.js for the frontend, C# with Entity Framework Core for the backend, and SQL Server as the database.
When it comes to scalability and performance, we design with growth in mind from the very beginning. For example, in VISTA I used Expression Trees and a metadata-driven architecture that allows us to handle complex queries across large volumes of data while maintaining excellent performance. I work extensively on query optimization and database indexing strategies.
Security is, of course, a top priority in a fintech environment. This is why we implement role-based access control, strict data validation, and follow industry best practices to safeguard sensitive client information.
As I mentioned, definitely the VISTA project. It’s an advanced contact-filtering system that I designed and developed entirely on my own, from architecture to deployment.
The challenge was enabling extremely complex queries on investor data using dynamic filters, multiple conditions, and relationships across different entities, all while maintaining high performance even with large datasets. I built an architecture based on Expression Trees and a metadata-driven approach that makes the system both flexible and powerful.
I’m proud that it has become a fundamental tool for the business. Seeing it used every day and knowing it makes a real difference in my colleagues’ work is incredibly rewarding.
Fintech is evolving rapidly, and working in an innovative company that embraces change rather than resisting it is very energizing.
I’m excited about the fact that Yeldo is open to new technologies and new challenges. There’s a mindset geared toward becoming increasingly competitive and high-performing in the market, and that will certainly include the strategic integration of AI into our products in the future.
One development I’m particularly looking forward to is the evolution of the MyYeldo platform, which will allow clients to manage their portfolios in a fully comprehensive way: an intelligent dashboard to track performance and keep everything under control easily and intuitively. I believe it’s the natural next step to offer an even more complete customer experience.
