Role summary
This senior position within our Real Estate Team will allow you to play a critical role in the structuring, execution and monitoring of YELDO Group investments, across the several countries in which we operate.

You will join as the Head of Structured Finance and you will report to YELDO's Chief Investment Officer (20+ years of experience in institutional Real Estate investments at Morgan Stanley, Alpine Grove, Angelo Gordon).

We are seeking an energetic colleague with 7+ years of experience in Real Estate credit structuring and execution matured in top-tier investment firms, traditional lenders, and asset managers in Europe.

Profile description
As our Head of Structured Finance, you will be responsible for the structuring, execution and management of all YELDO investments including senior loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity and junior equity positions with real estate collaterals across multiple European geographies.

As one of the most senior members of our fast-growing investment team you will have the chance to actively shape our investment strategy and represent YELDO as a growing player of the alternative financing market with borrowers, partners and co-investors

Main responsibilities

Transaction Analysis and Execution
● Support the RE team in originating and leading the structuring of all YELDO debt and equity transactions
● Structuring the appropriate financial products eg. direct loans/bonds/securitization vehicles
● Negotiate structures and terms&conditions with borrowers
● Assist investment managers in executing key transaction workstreams (analysis, negotiations, due diligence, IC presentation, third parties legal advisors)
● Create tailored cash flows/valuation and risk/returns models to simulate various scenarios

Borrower Analysis
● Perform corporate/financial analysis of borrowers
● Elaborate short memos to improve team’s knowledge on specific lending topics

Portfolio Management & Monitoring
● Monitor and manage credit portfolio positions (eg. respect of loan CPs/covenants, investment performance, trigger’s events, reporting obligations) and prepare reporting, and actions for borrowers/agents etc
● Periodically review credit portfolio positions

Strategy Development
● Participate in team’s strategic positioning in the alternative lending market in line with market conditions
● Participate in fundraising process of new funds and products
● Represent YELDO in the lending market, specifically with borrowers, advisors, co-lenders

Supervising of junior resources
● Supervise junior staff who will assist in the investment process
● Train and mentor junior staff

Requirements
● 7+ years of relevant work experience matured in top-tier investment firms, traditional lenders, and asset managers
● Deep knowledge of loan structuring and financial products, understanding of Capital Markets and associated products to drive the best in class solutions and options for our investors
● High level of competence with respect to financial analysis, due diligence, property valuation, cash flow analysis
● Advanced skills in Excel (modelling). Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
● Excellent presentation skills (written, verbal)
● Excellent interpersonal communication skills
● Strong analytics and attention to detail
● Fluency in Italian, English – Spanish language is a big plus
