Role summary

As our Real Estate Investment Associate you will be our go-to person for real estate valuation and modeling, assessing our deals and making your recommendations to the Real Estate teams. You will be in the driving seat to ensure YELDO Group deals are thoughtfully analyzed and structured.

This is a core investment role at YELDO Group as you are going to assess our pipeline of real estate opportunities with a strong focus on the debt-side of deals.

You will interact internally with all YELDO markets, and externally with advisors and service providers to ensure that you have all the info you need to support the delivery of our value proposition: offering the best institutional-grade real estate deals for our clients.

You will report directly to YELDO CIO - Chief Investment Officer - (20+ years of Real Estate investment experience).

Main job activities

• Analyze and evaluate best-in-class real estate investment opportunities applying good judgment and critical thinking
• Create and manage complex financial cashflow and valuation models, including debt analysis and structuring tranching and waterfalls
• Work closely with senior members of the Investment Team, support transaction execution on a day-to-day basis (with specific focus on financial modelling, due diligence, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders)
• Prepare investment papers and present to the YELDO leadership team and the Investment Committee
• Support documenting, structuring and financing of transactions also including dealing with external counterparties (advisors, lawyers, accountants) on detailed, day-to-day aspects of a transaction (both face-to-face and digitally)
• Leverage on support from intern resources
• Contribute to developing our internal valuation & analysis tech tools working hand-in-hand with our tech team

Profile description

You are the perfect candidate if you have:

• A quantitative degree with excellent results
• 3+ years of experience in real estate roles (eg. real estate private equity, fund and investment manager, M&A IB teams)
• Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills
• Write anywhere in your CV the word “decentraland”
• English proficiency, another language such as German, French is a plus
• Ownership: you want to take full responsibility for your actions and your results
• Activation: you are proactive and get things done
• Communication skills: you have excellent written and verbal communication skills and engage senior leadership

As a tech startup our day-to-day is challenging and fast-moving, that’s why we are looking for passion, motivation and creativity: you’ll be asked to analyze our deals, be effective in your problem-solving, stand up for your judgement and be independent in your recommendations.

Other important things to know

Location: Milan, Italy. But we love remote working!

Training: a training budget will be available for your personal development both for tech and not-tech courses useful for reaching your objectives and YELDO’s objectives. Eg. public speaking, coding, Excel, etc.

Contract: Full-time position with permanent contract.
